Old Age Home

Right from inception Sevashram's goal has been to provide the best possible services the old people living in the home, without compromising on the quality of services. Even though setting up many of the services being provided to the old people in Sevashram, involved quite an investment, Sevashram, with it's immense goodwill and generous supporters has been able to mobilise resources to setup these services. At present Sevashram has 25 inmates who are being provided all possible services.


Sevashram  has been awarded as the Best Old Age Home in Annaram, Medak, Hyderabad,  Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India on World Elders Day providing best services to senior citizens old age persons





Greenery at Sevashram Old Age HomeSevashram is located at Annaram Village in Medak District just adjacent to the main road which connects Hyderabad and Narasapur (State Highway) which is about 20 kms, away from Balanagar Junction. The land is surrounded by Agricultural fields creating a calm, clean and green environment and is well connected with good transport facilities.




Sevashram Old Age Home Building

The building is constructed with RCC Structure and has 10 very spacious rooms of 250 sq.ft. each with simple and good architectural values for inmates. A library room of 300 sq.ft., a dinning room of 1000 sq.ft, and spacious kitchen of 800 sq.ft. Sevashram is having its own borewell, overhead Tank, and also water purification plant. Security is provided round the clock.

Each room is furnished with cots, beds, one ceiling fan, two small almirahs with independent locking facilities, one writing table and chari. The rooms and toilets are kept neatly cleaned creating good hygienic environment.



Old Age Persons Reading in the Sevashram Old Age Home LibraryThe library is spread over 300 sq.ft. with a collection of books on poetry, essays, short stories, periodicals, spiritual, philosophy and novels. These are books from 1910 to till date are kept neatly in shelves. Tables and chairs are provided for reading books. In addition to these daily newspaper in local language and English along with magazines are also readily available as to know day to day development around the world and country. Generally the senior citizens are found of reading spiritual, philosophy of their choice. To keep them busy, every care is taken in maintaining the library to the best of the standards.



Kitchen of Sevashram Old Age HomeThe kitchen is situated in an area of 600 sq.ft. approximately and store room with around 200 sq.ft. makes it more spacious. We have upgraded the kitchen from time to time an now we are equipped with modern cooking ranges, water filters, refrigerators, wet grinders and utensils. To keep the inmates healthy and considering age factor we provide them with tasty, nutritious and pure vegetarian food.

The dinning hall has a floor space of 1000 sq.ft. and has a capacity for dine for a maximum 25 members. This hall is equipped with a Air Cooler and a colour television



Vegetable Garden at Sevashram Old Age HomeSevashram has a beautiful landscaped garden having lawns, fruit, flower and vegetable plants. In the evening the inmates enjoy the nature by sitting in the lawns and share their memories of the life. There is a special kitchen garden developed separately where the vegetables are grown by natural manures. The vegetables grown are utilized by the Sevashram kitchen. Some of the inmates are also helping voluntarily in maintaining garden which not only keeps them busy but also keeps them fit. In the evenings some inmates also do meditation in the garden.


Medical Check ups

Medical Check up of Old Age Person in Sevashram Old Age HomeRegular Medical check up is organized by the Sevashram, with the help of renowned doctors. As part of the service to the society, we are encouraging the nearby village people to avail free medical check up periodically. There is a church hospital run by missionaries in the nearby village. We also have a tie up with the same hospital for supply of ambulance. In addition, homeopathy medicines are also given free of cost by the one of our inmates. Our inmates voluntarily teach nearby village poor and orphan children.


Other Amenities –

Water Purification plant:

We have water purification plant, which purifies the water from bore. The water is free of bacteria and dirt and when compared  it is as good as any leading brands of mineral water brands available in the market

We at Sevashram continuously upgrade the facilities for our inmates as per our financial commitments. The guests whom we have accommodated are from different walks of life e.g. retired government officials, educationists, professionals, etc., We have created a homely atmosphere within Sevashram and all our members live like a good joint family.


An ideal home in every sense! Here we aim to create an atmosphere of self-respect and self-reliance by encouraging the residents to participate in the Sevashram’s activities. In other words we aim to create a true “Vanaprastashram”.


Future Plans

Our aim is to provide all the best possible comforts and facilities to all our citizens. We wish to continue doing better than the best in the coming years, starting with this year we are planning to construct additional blocks for accommodating more inmates as the demand is growing. A separate block for ailing old for nursing them around the clock is one of our future plans. Further we are also planning to give shelter for orphan boys and girls and make them to grow as promising citizens of the country.
